Half-term fun on Wednesday 19th February ride a free vintage Ribble bus to the Ribble Steam Railway.
AdvertisementArtist Steph Matthews will be at the steam museum in an exclusive one-day competition to design, draw and colour a new face for a steam train. From 11.30am until 3.30pm children ages 5-12
Everyone is also invited to Ride the Rails and enjoy the opportunity to ride a working train. A full-size outdoor locomotive will run trips up and down the Docklands railway throughout the day, and a child-sized electric railway will also carry passengers in the main exhibition hall. All included in normal cost of admission.
Don’t forget the vintage red Ribble buses running from the Ribble Steam Railway to the Museum of Lancashire and the Harris Museum & Art Gallery as well.
The bright red fun bus will can take you from 10.30am at the Ribble Steam Railway around the city to the Lancashire Infantry Museum, Museum of Lancashire, the Harris Museum and Art Gallery, before finishing back at the steam railway.
Unbelievably, the bus ride is free. However, entry charges to the steam railway do apply.
