Preston Police made the public aware that the ATM cash machine at the Tesco Express store on Church Street in Preston had been scammed.

Back in February we reported that police found a card reading machine attached to the machine and advised customers to check for possible unauthorised transactions on their bank accounts.

Businesses and office workers located nearby the ATM were today alerted to the fact that people who used the machine around the time of the warning have experienced suspicious activity on their bank accounts.

Police therefore wish to remind everyone who may have accessed the ATM to again check their accounts and report any errors to them.
