Residents in Fulwood are being asked for their views as a developer seeks to build more than 300 new homes off Lightfoot Lane.
AdvertisementRedrow Homes won outline planning permission for the 330-homes site after a planning appeal.
The development would fall within the North West Preston ‘Garden City’ proposal – but faces concerns from the Lightfoot Lane Area Residents Association.
The Association has been campaigning against overdevelopment of the area, saying Lightfoot Lane should be made into a cul-de-sac once new roads are put in to ease congestion in the North of the city.
A letter to Lightfoot Lane area residents from Redrow’s senior planning manager, Robin Buckley, outlines their plan for the site.
He writes: “Over the last few months, we have developed the detailed designs for the early phases of development on the site.
“Before we submit these applications, we are seeking views from local residents.
“Redrow is intending to submit four planning applications in the coming months.”
The company has also sent an information leaflet to 200 properties around the Lightfoot Lane site.
