Preston chef Paul Heathcote who runs the Olive Press in Winckley Square talked to us about the festival.

The Winckley Square Weekender is two days of food, fashion, events and entertainment on the city’s Georgian Square.

Paul gave us his thoughts on what’s happening at the festival, why people should come down and what his burger shack has to offer.

He also spoke about the heritage lottery bid being submitted by the city council.

Paul feels the Square needs a permanent hard-standing area so it can be used for more events and the “natural” water feature in the dip, which often floods, could be made into a lake or pond.
