Arson investigation after city centre warehouse fire

Police are being called to investigate a suspected arson at an abandonedĀ Preston city centreĀ warehouse.

Fire crews were called out from Preston fire station to battle a blaze at the buildingĀ on Church Street.

Smoke was seen billowing across the city centre from the disused building from around 4.18pm.

The fire was started in a downstairs room, the fire was soon put out by two fire crews.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue said it is not the first time they have been called out to a fire at the property.
