A mini round-up of new openings and closures in Preston city centre.
New shoe shop opened on Fishergate called Solewish. A small family run organisation that brings in cutting edge footwear designs whilst also catering for a girls every day fashion needs.
Shakey’s Desserts and Grill Lounge on Friargate opened a short while ago and offers Hot Dogs, Burgers, Kebabs, Rollers, Nachos, Samosas plus a lrage choice of shakes.
They also offer a ‘make your own’ mains service. Choose a base from Rice, Wrap or Panini then choose a topping from Chicken, Steak or Sausage and finally a flavour from Portuguese, Mexican, Tandoori or Peri-Peri. We will be reviewing the food soon.
Half way down Bow Lane to the West of the city is the new Race Cafe. Illustrator, Shawn Sharpe has recently created a new sign for them. More details about what they offer to come.
Sadly closed or looking to re-let are a number of fast-food outlets in the city.
Hardeez Chicken and Kebab house on Friargate has closed, as has Maroc that only opened a short while ago.
Fast Bite on the corner of Moor Lane and Victoria Street has bitten the dust, although a brand new take-out is currently being built only a few yards away in the shell of the Old Vic public house.
