There will be a public meeting held by Save Our Preston NHS today (16 July) in the Main Chamber of County Hall on Fishergate Hill in Preston.

This is part of a community campaign, dedicated to the protection of the National Health Service, against closures and privatisation.

A number of speakers have been announced for the day and include:

Rachael Maskell, Head of Health at Unite. Having been a health professional in the NHS, she has spent a lifetime campaigning for the best services for the public, patients and staff and now represents over 100,000 people working in the NHS

Martin Johnston – NHS Academic
