Overnight closures of a major route into Preston have been announced for late November and early December.
AdvertisementPart of Golden Way in Penwortham is to be shut between Oaks Wood roundabout (leading to the flyover) and the Broad Oak roundabout (next to Booth’s).
This section of road is to be closed from 7pm to 7am from Thursday 27 November to Thursday 11 December.
Resurfacing and widening work is currently taking place on Golden Way as part of upgrading the A582 to carry more traffic.
Engineers will be carrying out resurfacing work between Ribble Bridge and the Hill Road footbridge during the closure.
Diversions are to be put in place via Liverpool Road, Cop Lane and Millbrook Way. No direct access to Golden Way will be in place from the Cop Lane slip road.
