New look area of Fishergate

A national health food chain is preparing to move is preparing to move within the city centre.

Holland and Barrett has announced it is relocating from its St George’s Shopping Centre berth and into a shop on Fishergate itself.

A statement from the firm said: “Your local Holland and Barrett is on the move. You’ll find us in a new spot just a short stroll away at 49 Fishergate.

“Your new improved store will open its doors tomorrow, 13th May, so if you’re around we’d love to see your face.”

49 Fishergate is located within the section of the road which has seen the controversial shared space scheme introduced.

It is not known who will be replacing the current shop in the St George’s Shopping Centre.
