The collision happened close to the Black Bull pub

Three men remain in hospital following a serious crash in Fulwood.

A 27-year-old man is in a stable condition at Chorley Hospital and is under arrest at hospital following the incident in Black Bull Lane.

The man, from Bolton, was driving a white Audi A1 which police say had been “driving erratically”. He was taken to hospital with a head injury, which police now say is non-life threatening.

A driver and passenger of a silver Vauxhall Zafira, which was in collision with the Audi near the Black Bull pub, also remain in hospital.

The driver, 56, and a the front seat passenger, 72, both from Preston, were taken to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries.

Police say both remain in a serious condition but their injuries are not life threatening.

A 16 year old boy from Preston has been discharged from hospital after suffering a cut to his head and an eye injury.

Two Volkswagen golf cars were also involved in the collision.

Preston Police continues to appeal for information following the crash at 10.50pm on Tuesday 7 July.

Sergeant James Power from the Preston Road Policing Unit said: “We are still trying to piece together exactly what happened to cause the collision and so I urge anyone who witnessed the crash or those who might have seen a white Audi car driving erratically through Preston to make contact with us.

“Similarly, I am asking anyone who may have seen people running or walking away from the area where the crash happened to get in touch.”
