The King’s Royal Hussars (KRH) will mark 300 years of history by marching through Preston.
AdvertisementThe KRH get many of their recruits from Preston and the parade will coincide with Preston’s Military Armed Forces Day event that will see soldiers from other North West units take to the city’s streets.
The KRH can be traced back to the raising of the 10th Royal Hussars and The 11th Hussars in 1715 around the time of the First Jacobite Rebellion.
The unit has recently trained in Canada and at the end of the year will assume the role of Lead Armoured Battle Group and be ready to deploy anywhere in the year.
