From cheese to sweet treats will be on offer at the food festival, and demonstrations from Aazam Ahmad

A festival celebrating food from around Lancashire and beyond returns to the city from Friday.

Preston Food Festival takes over the Flag Market with more than 30 stalls offering cheese, thai dishes, ostrich and cakes.

Cooking demonstrations from celebrity chefs including BBC Fusion Food winner Aazam Ahmad and cake extraordinaire Ruth Potts of Cakes by Ruth will also take place.

Anthony Quinlan who plays Pete Barton in Emmerdale is due to be a special guest at the event, along with comedy chefs Can’t Cook and Won’t Cook.

The Preston Food Festival runs on Friday 17 July and Saturday 18 July running from 10am to 6pm each day.
