Watch: Thunderstorm and lightning over Preston

After the hottest day of the year Preston is being battered by a lightning storm.

The skies above the city and surrounding area are seeing an enormous thunder storm.

Prestonians have been taking to social media after being woken up by the storm.

The Met Office say it is likely to be over just before midnight on Wednesday.

Temperatures have reached around 32 degrees in Preston and across the county during Wednesday.
