Prestonians have been queuing to get into a new French-themed cafe in the city.

Patisserie Valerie opened in St George’s Shopping Centre on Thursday and is already proving popular.

With fresh cakes and coffee the cafe is facing onto Friargate next to Shoe Zone.

The cafe has created 20 jobs in the city.

Reports on Saturday said the cafe was having to operate a one in, one out, system due to the demand.
