Road near Preston Railway Station has melted in the heatwave

The roads in Preston have begun to melt due to the heat.

Part of Butler Street near Preston Railway Station is cordoned off due to a sinkhole appearing.

As temperatures cracked the flags at 30 degrees or more again in the city and Lancashire, the tarmac has collapsed.

The hole is close to the Fishergate Shopping Centre side entrance.
